Anderson eyes Porto return

Manchester United midfielder Anderson has hinted he wants to leave Old Trafford and return to FC Porto.

Anderson, who has made just one Premier League appearance this season, reportedly fell out with manager Sir Alex Ferguson in pre-season and has slipped down the pecking order at United.

The Brazil international also suffered from alleged disciplinary issues last season before a cruciate ligament injury in February ended his campaign.

With his future at United far from certain, the 22-year-old is contemplating heading back to the Portuguese Liga in order to revive his career.

Anderson said: "I am good in Manchester but I'd like to return to Portugal and my preference would be Porto."

The former Gremio youngster signed for United from Porto for a fee of £17.5 million in May 2007 but has struggled to make an impact at United.
